  • A street tree of any size. These trees are protected under Street Tree Protection By-law .

  • A private tree with a diameter of 30 cm or more. These trees are protected under Private Tree By-law .

  • Any vegetation and any tree located in an area regulated under Ravine and Natural Feature Protection By-law 

When You Need a Permit - Mississauga

You only need a permit to remove trees on your private property if you are removing three or more trees 15 cm (6 inches) or greater in diameter, including dead and/or dying trees, per calendar year.

When You Need a Permit - Vaughan

​

This application for if for anyone who requires a permit to remove a privately owned tree that is dead, hazardous or an Ash Tree anywhere in the City of Vaughan.
